A collaboration for the black and white, 1945 film adaption of Oscar Wilde's novel; starring George Sanders, Hurd Hatfield, Donna Reed and Angela Lansbury.

I first saw this movie one day on TCM; it was on and I just got so intrigued watching it. 3 weeks later I started thinking about it (ironically someone posted the entire movie online so I got to see again^ ^). Anyway. . . I really liked it!!!
Maybe someday I will actually take the time to read the book, or get the marvel comicbook or even watch the other dozen adaptions before and after this one.

Is this a blend of screencaps or a painting? I can't tell. Seriously- this looks flippin awesome!

The lighting and shading are wonderful!

You should definently read the book. I rented the movie a year ago and when it showed the altered portrait in full colour I ran screaming from the room! I don't usually get that scared during movies but Evan Albright's painting was just so haunting! I loved Angela in the movie, especially when she sung "Goodbye Little Yellow Bird."

Thank you so much^ ^ I got pretty freaked out when I first saw the painting too . . . kind of came unexpected. It took me weeks to finally be able to look it dead in the eye!
I also liked Angela, she has such a wonderful voice^ ^
Unfortunately, I've never seen this but this is great fan art. :)

George Sander's voice sends shivers down my spine :D

Creating art is like needing to go to the bathroom, when nature calls you just gotta let it out "excuse me I need to go piss some art"
